<p data-start="504" data-end="582">This year’s focus areas are especially important for carriers to get ahead of:</p>

<p data-start="1023" data-end="1213">Instead, they’re verifying records against multiple data sources, including fuel receipts, toll activity, and shipping documents. Any inconsistencies can quickly escalate into a full review.</p>
<p data-start="1215" data-end="1402">Inspectors will also be reviewing <strong data-start="1249" data-end="1277">up to eight days of logs</strong>, meaning issues from earlier in the week can still impact a driver during Roadcheck.</p>

<li><strong data-start="2038" data-end="2060">Motor Carrier Panel</strong><br data-start="2060" data-end="2063" /><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Motor carriers, ranging from 30 trucks to 200 trucks, talked about when to factor (or not), winning freight with shippers and not brokers, attracting talent, cost-cutting, having non-freight revenues (trailer leasing, towing, etc.) and other dynamics to survive the great trucking recession. </span></li>

<p data-start="1820" data-end="2264">As cross-border freight volume rises, so does the complexity—and risk. A 3% increase in cargo truck hijackings was reported in Mexico in 2023, underscoring why insurance is more vital than ever. Our EVP and Head of International Logistics, Mark Vickers, spoke to the key differences between U.S.-issued and Mexican cargo insurance, highlighting how many traditional Mexican policies fall short on coverage, documentation, and claim reliability.</p>
