Third Annual Trucking Matters Seminar Series Recap
Premier Trucking Event of Industry Experts Driving Innovation and Growth
The third annual Trucking Matters Seminar Series by Reliance Partners was a resounding success, drawing over 250 attendees to the Grand Hyatt in Nashville, TN. This year’s event featured 27 speakers and panelists from various sectors within the trucking industry, including motor carriers, freight brokerages, risk and insurance, shippers, and equipment manufacturers.
We were honored to have representatives from major companies such as Werner Enterprises, Bridgestone, Nissan, Wabash, Covenant, Kimberley-Clark, Crete Carrier, and many more. Their insights and expertise provided invaluable knowledge and perspective to all in attendance.
Event Highlights
The seminar series covered a broad range of topics crucial to the trucking industry including the health of the US consumer, data on what freight sectors are growing and shrinking, the current state of trucking capacity, and when supply and demand will be more favorable for motor carriers, including predictions around two upcoming months. Our speakers shared their expertise and discussed current trends, challenges, and innovations. Examples of topics discussed included pros and cons of captive insurance products; handling difficult shipper RFPs; is it better to park trucks or cut headcount early in a slump; the likely upcoming tractor pre-buy in 2026 and 2029; and the fluff and substance around digital brokers, etc. The diverse range of topics ensured that there was something valuable for everyone in the audience, whether they were from a motor carrier, a freight brokerage, or key vendors to transportation and logistics.
